RunBrook’s Role

RunBrook is experienced in obtaining tax credits for its clients through the 45L Energy Efficiency Home tax credit. We will provide a complimentary assessment to help you determine if your project qualifies and to identify what your future tax credit may be. 

Based on that complimentary assessment, if you believe that 45L is a good fit, RunBrook will:

  • Conduct on onsite inspection of your building;

  • Perform IRS compliant building energy models; and

  • Document the process in a certification report.

Your accountants and financial team can then use this information to reduce tax liability by taking advantage of the 45L tax credit.


$2,000 per Qualifying Single Family Home

The 45L Energy Efficient Home tax credit is available to developers, individuals, and contractors for single family home projects.  Projects can include individual homes, apartment complexes no more than three stories high, and homes in neighborhood developments.  The credit is worth approximately $2,000.00 per qualifying residence completed between 2005 and 2013 that meets IRS energy savings requirements.  If you are a developer who has built homes, apartments, and/or condominiums that have energy efficient lighting and HVAC systems you might be eligible to claim the tax credit.  Home owners of energy efficient homes that have similar features can also take advantage of 45L.  RunBrook offers a complimentary assessment to help you determine if your project qualifies and to identify what your future tax credit may be.
